The City of Dubuque will hold a Bee Branch Banner Reveal Party from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, at East 16th and Elm streets.

More than 150 community members, many of them youth, created artwork for banners that will cover the fence at the former junkyard located at the site, according to a press release. The banners are more than 8 feet tall and 400 feet long.

The event will include complimentary refreshments and a short program at 10:15 a.m.

The City of Dubuque plans to redevelop the former junkyard property along the Lower Bee Branch into a recreational area. To share ideas, see renderings or to learn more information, visit cityofdubuque.org/beebranchbrownfields cleanup.
