Dunn Library’s Summer Reading Program Begins

The “Build a Better World” children’s summer reading program begins today at Dunn Public Library. There will be story times, crafts, paid performers and movies each week. On Thursday at 3 p.m., the library will show “The Lego Batman Movie.” For a complete schedule of events, go to www.dunn-nc.org/library and click on the 2017 Summer Reading Schedule tab.

Parents may register their children for the summer program at the library or by visiting the library’s Facebook page.

Children will make and fire rockets, see a theater troupe, and see chemistry and exotic animal displays. Participants will be able to draw for prizes from a treasure chest weekly if they have read at least three books.

Neill’s Creek Ruritans To Meet Tuesday

The Neill’s Creek Ruritans will hold their regular monthly meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Ruritan Clubhouse, 1090 Tysinger Road, Lillington. There will be a guest speaker. Visitors are welcome. For more information or directions to the clubhouse, call (910) 814-0464.
