Thomas Clinton Williams, 80, of Lillington died Saturday, June 17, 2017.
He was born in Chatham County, son of the late Brantley and Annie Bell Riddle Williams. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and was a U.S. Army veteran. He enjoyed fishing and camping on the Rocky River. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Addie T. Williams; son, Thomas Louis Williams; sisters, Jeanette Allen and Faydine Husketh; and brother, Oren Williams.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Asbury United Methodist Church, 560 Wade Bright Road, Sanford, with the Rev. Donald Burns officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church and other times at the home of Clint and Gina Williams.
Survivors include a son, Clint Williams and wife Gina of the home; stepdaughters, Joyce Leonard Swartz of Rocky Mount and Mary Ellen Leonard of Nashville; stepsons, Howard Leonard II and wife Jan of Rocky Mount, Robert Leonard and wife Cynthia of Nashville; grandsons, Donald Swartz Jr., Robert Leonard II, Garrett Williams and Scott Swartz; granddaughters, Jade Ormond, Leslie Williams, Lindsay Leonard and Katie Leonard; and nieces and nephews.
